Seoul Music Festivals 2019
With summer right around the corner, Music festival season is soon upon us. Music festivals are great places to approach and meet Korean girls because most who go there are in a party mood, dressed in super sexy attire and costumes, and and located in one huge Arena or Field. Festivals are like Daygame on steroids and a great place to farm Kakaotalk id’s as well as pull groups for an after party. A lot of the major festivals have migrated to Seoul’s Jamsil Sports complex on line number 2 (the most popular line that circles the city) so logistics are much better than the Gyungido festival days! Summer is a great time to hit up beaches like Haeundae in Busan, Pool Parties in Seoul’s W Hotel or Hamilton Hotel, but we’ll save those for another article! Here we’ll list out the top festivals you want to plan your summer around!
Ultra Music Festival Korea
June 7– 9,2019
The world’s premier electronic music that has taken Korea Summers by storm. This year Martin Garrix, Skrillex, and many more top 50 DJ’s. A lot of tourists from Japan, China, and South East Asia fly in for this event and even if you don’t score a ticket, the parking lot is full of events and people out partying and drinking. If you can only afford to attend one festival this summer, then this is the one you’ll want to throw down your won on! It is located at Jamsil Sport complex on line 2 and 9. Seoul World DJ Festival
June 1-2, 2019
The World DJ Festival this year will take place at Seoul Land, a large park ground and amusement park area in Gwacheon area on the border of Seoul. You can get there by taking line 4 to Seoul Grand park and taking exit 2. While this festival doesn’t have as many top acts as Ultra Music Festival Korea, it is a bit more affordable and much easier to access than the country side campground days. 2019 EDC Korea
Electric Daisy Carnival makes its Korea festival debut with two days of art, rides, and the biggest names in electronic dance music. This festival will also be held in Seoul Land in Gwacheon, Seoul Grand Park Station on line 4. I’ll be attending since its the first and it is looking like it might be the best New Festival of 2019 in Korea. For more information click EDC Korea 2019.
Seoul Water Bomb Festival
July 20-21, 2019
The water bomb festival is a perfect mix of water park vibe, Kpop/EDM live performance, and lots of girls running around in bikinis and wet t-shirts. Even better if you’re outside of Seoul they have one in all the major cities around Korea during the summer. This year’s Water Bomb festival in Seoul location has yet to be announced but will likely be held in Jamsil sports complex. Spectrum Dance Music Festival
September 7-9, 2019
Spectrum Dance Music Festival 2019 this year in Seoul will feature its “Project Humanoid” theme. This year’s lineup is yet to be released as well as the venue. This festival general features a balance of KPOP and EDM and said to be tied to SM entertainment so has features acts like Girls Generation, Hyuna, Shinee, etc. For tickets and more information check out Spectrum Dance Music Festival.
